Ask Away
Lately, I’ve seen a few bloggers answering questions from their readers. I thought this might be a fun way to let my children know more about me through the eyes of someone else. So, if you have a burning question that I can answer in a future post, I’ll be glad to give them a shot. One caveat: My wife will have final editorial approval before I post my answers. If she’d rather I not reveal my most embarrassing moments to blogland, then I’ll just have to respond privately via email.
Ask away!

Quick question. When did you find out you were having twins? And what was your reaction?
Regards

If I remember correctly, you met Andrea over the internet, right? How did that all come about?
Oh, and will Barry Bonds’ breaking Babe Ruth’s home run record be meaningful, or not? Just curious what the Giants fans think.

Oh goodie, love it when the “class” gets to ask questions too! But I’ll go easy on ya. What should parents of single children, never say/ask (to) parents of twins/multiples?

This one goes with Deanna’s question. How did you (or your wife) propose?

This is a boring question, but…what stroller do you recommend for two children?

When I get this question, I always think it’s too personal to answer. So, I’ll ask you: Do you plan to have more kids? And is Andrea’s answer the same as yours?

What is your Social Security number and your ATM code?
(just kidding)
As someone who desperatley can’t wait to have children (gotta wait till the hubby gets a job), is it really as expensive as they say it is? And I know you have twins so I’ll just ‘double’ your answer.

I love this game…
When did you know you wanted to be a dad?
WHat are the kids middle names (if you don’t mind me asking) and how did you come up with their names?
WHo is your favorite blogger?

Why did you not consider your mother’s name when choosing a name for your daughter?

I feel like Arnold Horseshack wanting to answer Nat’s question above.
Nat, I can tell you what bothers me the most when out in public. “are they twins?” “Are they both yours?” (my husband usually answers this one with “yes, but the dna isn’t back yet on the mother of this one”)… and my favorite… “Man you’ve got your hands full, huh?”.
And my question for Matthew. How does your wife manage to stay beautiful with infant twins? (I ask because.. um.. I smell like puke and am pretty sure I don’t look much better right now)

I’m into music so… if you had to pick your top 5 songs of all time, what would they be? Backstreet Boys songs don’t count.

What are your five favorite book of all time?

I will ask you the same question I asked MetroDad: if you could be stranded on an island with either a very ugly woman or a beautiful man, who would you pick? (Assume that personalities are equal. Yes, it`s a weird question!)

Are your twins identical?
(Sorry. Couldn’t resist.)
Real question (following Sarah’s lead): What are your five favorite movies of all time?

am i too late with questions? because here is mine: seriously, how did you survive?!
i have 4 month old b/g twins (fraternal, wish i could stamp this on the stroller as the people of new york city ask all the time if they’re identical) and we’re barely hanging on. the naps are awful, the sleep is awful. does it get better? we’re also in a small one-bedroom apartment, so the close quarters are starting to get to us!
anyway, while i have you, i’ll tell you that i started reading your blog during middle of the night nursing sessions and i was hooked. love your letters to the kids…they make me cry every time!
