Back to Work
Tomorrow I return to work after a three week leave to be with the babies. I’m not looking forward to it. While it has been extremely exhausting and all-consuming, I would not trade the time I’ve spent with J.T. and Swee’Pea for anything in the world. I will certainly miss the early morning cuddles and knowing those inadvertent times when I lock eyes with one of them will be greatly decreased makes me sad.
I’m also a little nervous knowing that I will no longer be able to sneak in a nap during the day when I’m feeling exhausted from the previous night. I expect to give my best when I’m at work and now I’m hoping my best with four to six hours sleep is going to be good enough.
In addition, I’m feeling guilty about leaving Andrea to fend for herself with two infants, knowing how difficult it is when both of us are here. Luckily, Andrea’s mom is coming next week but for the next few days, Andrea is on her own.
Hang in there Honey! I’m sure you’ll do just fine. Call me when you feel you like you’re gonna explode.
