Daycare Update – Day I, Part Deux

Not bad. In fact I would go so far as to say pretty good. Maybe even better than pretty good. Impressive? Maybe. You be the judge.

Apparently Swee’Pea felt warm to the new daycare lady (she’s getting over okay, has a cold) so she called me on my cell phone to ask if she could give her Children’s Tylenol. The only problem? I hadn’t yet programmed her phone into my cell and, since I’m not exactly used to getting calls from my daycare provider, I ignored her call (hey, I was in the middle of a very important meeting with 28 eight-year-olds). Oops.

She’s programmed now. It won’t happen again.

(Bri’s good too.)

  1. Maybe you’ll be as fortunate as Dutch and Wood.

Have you checked out It’s Not All Mary Poppins yet? She’s a daycare provider in Toronto and she’s listed on my blogroll.

    Wonderful woman.

  2. Well now I feel really silly. She’s right there on your blogroll.

  3. I did that once; the day-out that my sons attended has that funny thing where there is one number you call IN but several lines for them to call OUT. But the number on my cell wasn’t one I recognized, blah blah blah.

Fortunately, the director just KEPT CALLING until I answered. Which wasn’t until about the fifth time. Ha ha! She’d been through this before.

    Glad Bri feels better.

  4. It sounds like an auspicious start!
It is what I would have done when I was a dayhome.

  6. And you meant “Infant Tylenol Drops,” right?

  8. Be glad that she called. I had a childcare provider who used to just dose my son up and then tell me at the end of the day!
