Our jagged little pill
There once was a baby named Bri
Who was as sweet as a girl could be
Then one day her rage
Took center stage
And her poor parents had nowhere to flee
[To see what that rage looks like, go here.]

did we have our first major tantrum? Its an awfully traumatic event for us parents when they first start showing just how ugly their ugly side can be…

Ooooh, she’s starting early… The Munchkin was at least 10 months old before she threw her first tantrum. I’m curious to hear what triggered it! And how JT responded to her while she was enraged.
Hopefully this will be a rare occurrence as she gets older, but be warned – the terrible twos actually start at about 15 months.
The bathroom is a good place to hide, by the way.

eeeeek, good luck to you both. I will be hiding in the bathroom with Deanna until you get that all worked out.
Thank heavens for little boys… : )

She is advanced. You should be thrilled that your daughter is gifted. Please don’t kill me now, I am just repeating what someone told me the first time my oldest threw a tantrum. And she was around eight months. Did she kick her legs and throw things while screaming at the top of her lungs? Did she crumple to the ground? Oh, am I scaring you. It only gets better from here, trust me. Good Luck.

I think your Mom is gloating that you’re going to get twice as much as she had with you.
I’ve been there. My baby started throwing her tantrums about the same age. My oldest did the same thing, but she’s become a very sweet girl… when she isn’t being manipulative with her brother and next oldest sister and telling them to do things she knows aren’t supposed to be done.

Ah, yes. The rage. We experienced Peaches’ rage potential for the first time when she was about five months old. She has been perfecting her craft for month. Good times.
