Swee’Pea and her man
I knew it would happen someday. I knew that one day, Swee’Pea would walk through the door and announce that she had found someone. In my mind this would happen sometime around the year 2035.
But it has already happened.
Swee’Pea has found a man. And not just any man. He’s muscular, handsome, and a career man. He’s a bit stiff but perhaps he’ll warm up. When I ask him questions, all I get is his name, rank and serial number. I don’t want to cause too much of a scene, however, as the man is heavily armed.
He does seem to get lost a lot though. It’s during these times, Swee’Pea will wander through the house, announcing in a loud voice, “I want my man! My man! I want my man!”
*Sigh* I guess it is my fault since I introduced them. You see, I thought he would be a good companion for TheMonk. But when I brought him home TheMonk looked up from his Lightning McQueen car and just shrugged. Swee’Pea, however, took an instant liking to this military man which makes a father a little nervous for the years to come.
I do have a few tricks up my sleeve, however. In fact, I do know some people who know some people so I think Mr. G.I. Joe will have to go permanently MIA.

LOL!
Military men are usually pretty good guys. I can vouch for my brother! I just think it’s funny that Swee’Pea picked them up and not TheMonk. I’d try giving them back to him in another couple of years.

When Grandfather and I married, he was in uniform. He was an MP. Later, he went on to wear a firefighter’s uniform. Something about a man in a uniform…

I agree with Grandmother. She could do worse. Think all black clothing, multiple piercings, many tatoos on the arms and legs ….. a uniformed man sounds great!

I played with a military man when I was young. He was just another person in my dollhouse. My brother always got mad when I played with him like that though. LOL My girls all played with them too when a few of them were given to my son. He never played with them himself.
